Grand Forks: The Trail

The Dewdney Trail arrives from the west traveling down May Creek, which originates near the location of the famous Phoenix townsite, until it hits Fourth of July Creek and then it travels south on a route that was closely followed by the Great Northern Railway years later. The Trail travels across the area that is now the city of Grand Forks, crossing the Kettle River near the present highway bridge and continues heading east towards the Monashee Mountains.
