Jack Sures

Brief Biography
1934 Born Brandon, Manitoba.
1957 B.F.A. University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba (painting and printmaking).
1959 M.A. Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan (ceramics).
1960-61 Lived and worked in London, England, where he learned mold making, slip casting and production wheel throwing.
1961-62 Travelled in Europe and the Middle East.
1965 Opened the ceramics department at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus (now the University of Regina), Saskatchewan.
1966 Canada Council Grant to Study in Japan.
1998 Professor Emeritus, University of Regina.
