This tower is a tapered wooden skeleton tower, which has been sheathed and shingled. The tower is square on a wood post foundation. It is 6.8 meters (22.3 ft) at the bottom and 1.68 meters (5.5 feet) at the top. It is similar in height to the West Point Lighthouse, which is the tallest tower on the Island. It is on its original site and is virtually unchanged since its construction. The builder is unknown. The design is similar to others of the era, so it is assumed to be the Department of Marine design.

It is located on private land and is maintained from April to December.
