Old Georgetown Front Range Light. 2002. Carol Livingstone.
OLD GEORGETOWN RANGE LIGHT(decommissioned)

The light station was established in 1868 or 1877, but the front and back ranges were not built until 1890. This lighthouse has been inactive since 1969 when it was replaced by the present front range light which is a fibreglass cylindrical tower.

It is approximately 9 m (30 feet) high and has a square wood lantern and gallery centered on the roof of a square one storey dwelling. It was unusual on PEI for a range light to have an attached dwelling.

It has been modified somewhat and is now a private residence not far from its original setting.
