This is one of the smallest lighthouses on the Island. It is a wooden, square pyramidal tower covered with cedar shingles painted white with red trim. The gallery is supported by metal brackets. It is in operation from April to December.

The site where the lighthouse is situated gives a panoramic view of the Northumberland Strait and the Richebucto, New Brunswick, area as well as the high cliffs along Howard’s Cove. It overlooks the fishing harbour and fish plant.
