The Haszard Point Range Light is rather awkward in appearance due to the fact that its height was increased by 2.4m (8 ft) about 1948. The slopes of the upper and lower portions do not match, making for an awkward, slim looking tower. It was moved in 1902 and 1936 and is again on the very edge of the cliff.

The shingled tower was designed by the Department of Marine. The builder is not known. The seaward side of the tower is painted red with a vertical black stripe. The other three sides are painted white.

Both the front and back range lights are located on the farm which once belonged to the Honourable Francis L. Haszard, once Premier of Prince Edward Island and later Judge of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island.

Edwin Stewart was keeper/caretaker of the range lights from 1910 until 1961.

Today the range light is located within a private residential area.
