The Department of Marine and Fisheries designed the two Warren Cove Range Lights. They were framed at the Government Wharf Warehouse. The builder was M. Walsh. The design was typical of the era. It was a graceful design, particularly in its flared cornices. The classical appearance is strengthened by the pediments over the door and window. The towers are made of wood, shingled and painted white with red trim with a red vertical stripe on the range line.
The lights were established on the Warren Farm and had an indirect influence on the development of Charlottetown Harbour.
