We start 6 o'clock in the morning. And Chief Steward would make up the menus. We had a Chief Steward, Jorden Hatch, he made up the menus, and bring em down. Myself, Billy, I'd be mostly the vegetable man, peel potatoes, stuff like this. I maybe made up some dessert or something, but that's....and they'd have.... cook roast beef, roast pork, pork chops, and a fish...you know... it was a good diet. So you know that was about it in the galley. Then you had to clean up all the mess, of course. There was three regular meals and then there was a lunch at night time.
