   eng.scholar.description1 = "At the end of the covered corridor is the traditional Scholar's Study and Courtyard, the most serene part of the Garden. The corner pavilion and the arrangement of trees and Tai Hu rocks in this courtyard combine to create an atmosphere of peace and elegance. A sloping walkway along the east side leads to a tiny pavilion where artists performed music or recited poetry.";

   eng.scholar.description2 = "The Scholar's Courtyard is a good place to view the roof and drip tiles. Fired in the Imperial kilns in Suzhou, the roof tiles are made of terra cotta clay. The drip tiles at the base of the roof are in the shape of a bat. Each tile shows the Chinese character for longevity between two bats.";
