About the Collections
The Museum's human history, decorative arts, fine arts and archives focus on the history of the NWMP and their role in the development of western Canada, the history of First Nations people, predominantly the Blackfoot, and the local history of Fort Macleod and surrounding region.

Services & Activities
The Museum offers its guests and clients a wide range of museum services. The Museum offers a number of interpretive programs during the summer season and provides year-round education programs for schools. The Museum also offers a gift shop, meeting faciltities and is wheelchair accessible.

Research Services
The Museum of the NWMP strives to provide an environment that encourages both private and institutional research with respect to the North West Mounted Police, the First Nations, and the early history of Fort Macleod. There are, however, a number of services provided by the Museum for which there is a nominal charge.

Educational Programs
The Museum offers education programs for students ECS to Grade 9 that highlight the role of the NWMP in the development of Western Canada and how western settlement affected First Nations culture as well as programs related to Victorian and pioneeer celebration of Christmas.
