Interview with Tim Neale, at the Aurora Public Library, Aug 5th 2016
Tim Neale reflects on the time he entered his dog into the Mutt Show competition at the Aurora Horse Show.
The Mutt Show was introduced into the annual Horse Show for the first time in 1955.
Tim: My story is about my dog, my dog Ziggy. She was an amazingly fast eater and they had a Mutt Show and the Mutt Show had a bunch of different prizes and one of the prizes was for the dog that ate the fastest and one of the prizes for the longest tail. I knew she had a long tail but didn’t think it was that big a deal. So we put her in the longest tail and [not] the fastest eating competition and unfortunately she came second in the longest tail, so I think I won $3.00 instead of $5.00 if she had gotten into the eating competition because she would have cleaned up there.
