Carrefour mondial de l’accordéon: Looking Forward to the Next 30 Years

Over the last three decades, the Carrefour mondial de l’accordéon has presented highly diverse programming by inviting musicians from all over the world. The festival has served as a platform for discussion and creation, leading to the establishment of Canada’s only accordion museum as well as an international music school. It has also highlighted the importance of the accordion for Quebec music culture.

Supported by a dedicated organization and passionate volunteers, the Carrefour mondial de l’accordéon surely has many more great years ahead of it. Indeed, the festival continues to welcome new faces to its team of volunteers, including some people who weren’t even born when the inaugural event took place!

The organization is constantly developing new ideas and concepts, ensuring that the event moves with the times and keeps captivating festivalgoers. Lots of new plans are currently in the works! In particular, the festival will soon feature more activities for young children, while offering a better overall visitor experience. And for the last 30 years, new artists have been constantly asking to perform in Montmagny.
