This mural is part of a larger one depicting aspects of the Town’s history. It is located in the “Golden Rail Pub” of Legion Village, a large retirement complex operated under the auspices of Branch 133 Royal Canadian Legion.
The artist, Allan Bender, interpreted the mural committee’s vision as set out by Chair Bob Taylor, “We wanted a mural to commemorate Cobourg’s historical past – notable people, the Cobourg harbour, past and present buildings, industry, military history, parks, sports teams and events.”
