Changing the way the Fire Chief thinks

For me, the Silver Creek/Mt. Ida fire changed the way I look at fire-related incidents I respond to.

Following the fire of ‘98, I look at each fire I attend differently.

Before when I attended a structure or house on fire, it was sure stress and excitement battling this “big” blaze.  Since the fire of ‘98, when I now attend a structure or other significant fire I think – it’s only one house or one structure, nothing we can’t suppress and stop from spreading.
