Official Languages Act in New Brunswick

1969 Official Languages Act of New Brunswick
Passed in 1969, the Official Languages Act of New Brunswick provides for the recognition of both English and French as official languages. A fundamental step towards recognizing the French reality in this province, this statute was followed by a whole series of measures and statutes, among which were the establishment of duality at the Department of Education (1974).
