A most faithful representation of the Indian Dance at Government House, Fredericton New Brunswick on the 1st of January 1835,
Rectangular shaped. Gold and brown frame. Light beige matt. Large room with many Indians. Drum to centre. Fireplace to right. Blue curtained windows to back. Chandelier hanging to centre. Predominant colours are blues and reds. This painting is a reproduction of an original in the collection of the McCord Museum (M978.83.6). A similar watercolour, by the same artist, is to be found in the collections of the York-Sunbury Museum in Fredericton ( 1992.16.1).
