“Authentic, Traditional & Contemporary Folk Music”

Fifty years ago singers at the Miramichi Folksong Festival performed their songs without accompaniment, as had been the custom for generations. Many of them had lived in an era before electricity. They performed to entertain, and they simply enjoyed the music. Twenty-first century electronic equipment would certainly dazzle the old-time folk singer.

Your task is to blend the old with the new. Either by yourself or with a group not to exceed five, you are to choose one traditional folk song and design a performance using all of the modern technology you think would be useful to entertain your audience - and promote the genre of folk music.
