This exhibit explores the
history of mining operations
which led to the discovery of
marine reptiles from the late
Cretaceous period. Collection
of these fossils and the
creation of the Morden and
District Museum, renamed the
Canadian Fossil Discovery
Centre in 2005, are described
| in detail. The Canadian
Fossil Discovery Centre is
home to the largest
collection of marine reptile
fossils in Canada. This
exhibit integrates geology,
mining, paleontology and
local history of the Morden-
Miami area.
