Young boys dream

To play for the Asahis was the dream of nearly every Nikkei boy. As pitcher Mickey Terakita recalls, "From kid days to teens, baseball is the only sport we were interested in." When infielder Kaye Kaminishi wore his Asahi uniform for the first time, he was so excited he couldn't sleep.
