General~ Millet continues in its efforts to make the town a showpiece of community involvement with the ultimate goal of a lovely landscaped town with an exceedingly well-defined natural area.
A very active Communities in Bloom Committee seems to spearhead efforts by many citizens, school groups, church groups, scout groups and the like to present a diversity of effort with a single goal of beautifying the town. Some 2400 volunteer hours is a considerable achievement and the Town should be proud of its citizens.
The museum and its very organized research facilities and historical data preservation provides an excellent resource for the numerous historical acknowledgements appearing around town ex) the Irish Garden, the Legacy Garden, the Memorial Rose Garden, the Vegetable Garden and others.
Pipestone Creek provides the town a wonderful opportunity for recreation and preservation of a natural heritage that many communities do not have.

Community Involvement~ It seems everyone has bought into the idea of beautifying the town with floral displays and maintenence of park areas and historical park areas. The various clubs seem to work well together. An example would be the apparent liaison between the Millet in Bloom group and the Millet and District Historical Society.

Natural and Cultural Heritage Conservation~ Millet seems to excel in all areas involved within Natural and Cultural Heritage. An active historical society works hand-in hand with the Millet-in-Bloom Committee to make things happen in the area of parks and heritage garden restorations.
The murals at the Library and Lions Hall are excellent.

A positive teamwork of the various sectors contributed to the success in providing a quality of life for all citizens.
Noteworthy are the quantity and quality of goodwill programs which help the less fortunate.
