Here is a trawl of lobster traps ready to be set on lobster bottom. In days gone by fishermen used 12 to 15 traps on a trawl but todays fishermen from Grosse Ile, Magdalen Islands, Quebec have agreed to use 9 trap trawls. The minimun number of traps you can use on a trawl is 7 and by this, fishermen are able to cover more lobster bottom.
