School Bands

School bands throughout the Highwood area have won many awards and accolades. A fire in 1992 at Senator Riley High School in High River demonstrated the importance of band music in the community. As the fire raged in the front of the building, teachers, parents and band students were hauling the instruments out of the band room at the back.
