In Baytona a humble tilt owned by Henry Combden was used to house the students of that area. The first teacher was Ms. Violet Lewis latter Quinlan. There were only a handful of students and they would attend school about five months a year. The next teacher in Baytona was Mr. Herbert Lewis.23
The Education system of Birchy Bay and Baytona basically started from humble prayer books around kerosene lamps. The days are now long past of such and education has a much greater footing today as it did in the past but it is from the past where it is to today. |
