Thus ends the story of the Great Fire. Haileybury was the largest and most important community affected, but many more places also were scorched by the blaze.In Modern Haileybury, only a few Suvivors are alive today. They were young children 84 years ago, when the fire hit. Today, they are seniors, a part of the community's living history.
