Dramatic clubs often presented popular 'Gilbert and Sullivan' productions such as 'H.M.S. Pinafore' and 'The Mikado' at the Opera House to rave reviews. Residents enjoyed supporting and celebrating their community in such a way and the seats were often sold-out.
