TYLERS DUG OUT

This large long dug out as shown in the previous picture was hewn from one large timber and was used for transporting produce or merchandise. The model is based on a description by Henry Scadding in "Toronto of Old" 1873, page 229, and the model contains casks with metal staves. This type of large commercial craft would be paddled by two men.
