Moving Balthasar Gschwendtner's. Threshing Outfit with a Case Steam Tractor and separator

Near Mirror, Alberta

Mr. Balthasar Gschwendtner's threshing oufit in the early 1920's.

On the right is a Case steam engine. It runs on coal, and from a cold start, often takes an hour and a half to build the steam up to operating level.

The steam engine is pulling a threshing machine (also known as a separator) and a bunkhouse, moving the outfit to a new location.
