Hubert Rogers, the younger brother of Wendall, also served in France during WWI.

After the War he studied art and became a noted artist. He was commissioned to paint the "Men of Valour" series in the 1940s and also the painting of the 1943 Quebec Conference.

The Quebec Conference painting hangs in the National War Museum in Ottawa.

Joe O'Brien, born in Alberton in 1917, was a famed driver and trainer of race horses.

He was the top rated racer in the United States in 1961 and in 1971.

He became the third driver in harness racing history to win 3,000 races.

He was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1965 and was the first person to be inducted into P.E.I.'s Sports Hall of Fame in 1968.

He went on to set 50 world records, winning a total of 4,285 races, including a record of 11 in a single day.

Maude Dyer was the granddaughter of the Reverend Robert Dyer and trained to be a nurse. A profession which she practiced for one year in Calgary.

She then returned to P.E.I. and studied pharmacology and went on to become the province's first female pharmicist in 1928.

She practised this profession for more than 40 years.

E. Benjamin Rogers

E. Benjamin Rogers was the grandson of the Honourable Benjamin Rogers.

He had an eclectic education attending both Dalhousie University and the University of London. This combined with a stint as a researcher at the Royal Institute of International affairs, led him to a career as an accomplished diplomat.

His appointments included:

Deputy High Commission for Canada to the United Kingdom.

Canadian High Commissioner in Australia, Washington, D.C, Rio de Janero, Prague, Czechoslovakia.

Canadian Ambassador to Peru, Turkey, Spain, Morocco, Italy,

and the Chief of Protocol, Department of External Affairs in Ottawa.
