Some of the early tennis courts were at the company-owned Chaleur Inn, which means that again, NBIP provided for the town.

Inch Arran Park, on the property formerly occupied by the Inch Arran House resort, has provided recreational facilities for the town for decades. Today, as a municipal campground, it is central to Dalhousie's tourism development efforts.

Adjacent to Inch Arran Park are the town's arena, known as the Inch Arran Ice Palace, ballfields and a tennis court. A recent addition, built after this photo was taken, is Recreaplex, which houses an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre.

Dalhousie's sporting tradition continues. In 2003, when Northern New Brunswick hosted the Canada Winter Games, Dalhousie was the site of the athletes' village and the boxing venue. There's no end in sight.
