This School Trustees Seal is from the Petersville Consolidated School District. Trustees were responsible for contracting teachers and supervising their instruction. They were also charged with raising funds for books and making repairs to the structures.

The Petersville School was built to hold 50 children and serve the entire community. As it happened, there were five families with ten children each!

The school at North Clones is similar in design to the Summer Hill school and was probably built about the same time. The large and airy windows must have provided waves of natural light and some heat during the cool days of fall. The winter supply of fire wood appears in this photo.

The Enniskillen School was the usual one room school house serving grades one to eight. Students walked a good distance to attend, and in the winter were warmed by the wood stove.

Tweedsmuir was located in Sunbury County, two miles south of the present community of Geary, and was home to approximately 53 families.
