Modern Inuit (1500 A.D to Present) are descendants of Thule people. Today, walking around the tundra in Cambridge Bay, one is surrounded by the Inuit past in the form of stone constructions including tent rings, hunting pits, fish caches, and inuksuit (stone cairns used to drive caribou toward waiting hunters). This picture shows a cache built to hold arctic char.
