In 1943 the Officers Wives and Mothers' Auxiliary of the HMCS Unicorn Naval Reserve Saskatoon put together a cook book of Tested Recipes that included preparing meals with the food rations that were imposed on the public at the time. The cook book also contains plenty of advertisements of local businesses at the time, some of which are still in business in the city. A select variety of pages is reproduced to show the different recipes submitted.
