The nominated Heritage Awareness Award projects have made an outstanding contribution to local history through innovative programs which educate, interpret and promote public awareness and excellence in research. In 2005, the Historical Society won the Heritage Awareness Award for its contribution to Millet's 100th Birthday Celebration.
