During the company's centennial celebrations, employees partook in a step dancing competition, shot put and high jump competition, a tug of war, and a softball game.
There was also a Father-Son bicycle race that was won by John and Reg Cahill. John Cahill had just received his gold watch earlier that day for 50 years service.

The company also had a Picnic Committee during the 1940s. The picnics took place at the summer home of Bill Yarwood, foreman of the Tool Department. The June 1943 picnic was attended by 1,000 employees and their families. Events throughout the day included swimming, fishing, and potato sack races.

To ensure all employees could attend the event, there was also a Ground and Transportation Committee. This committee was in charge of setting up for the event, as well, as arranging transportation to and from the picnic. These events were always a success amongst employees and further encouraged a friendly atmosphere within the Frost & Wood family.
