In 1930 the Creamery was sold to J.J.Creighton who ran the plant until he died in 1967 when it was then sold to Scotsburn Co-Operative Services Ltd. in 1968.The Creamery was always a popular place to work, collecting cream from the North Shore farmers and those of the hinterland area. The Creamery produced 600,000 lbs ( 272.155 kg)of butter a year and in one special year 1 million lbs (453.592kg). Tatamagouche Butter is still available but it is made by Scotsburn in another of their plants elsewhere in the province.

This Square was to become the focus of attention - ideally situated, existing buildings becoming available, lively minded people willing to dedicate time and energy...could it become an attractive focus for both the residents and visitors?
