Following his 90th birthday, an event was held at the Okanagan Science Centre on October 5th, 2013, to celebrate Bruce Aikenhead's career and his contributions to the Centre. Aikenhead was introduced by Commander Chris Hadfield, and spoke to an audience filled with family, friends, colleagues, and dignitaries.
