«From the very first show, our husbands were involved. My husband, Clarence, drove Wyn and me to every church and hall to which we were invited, in Winnipeg, to inspect the facilities. The day before the show Fred Van Slyck and Clarence would go with our truck full of lumber donated by Dominion Lumber to build a ramp. We took furniture from our own living rooms and carpets from our floor. While the men put up the lights, Wyn and I created a stage setting.
