Treasures from Trunks: The Story of the Dugald Ladies Fashion Review

On November 16, 1981 Edna Holland met with the Heritage Committee of School Principals of Transcona-Springfield School District at the School Board Offices. She wrote, "I spoke for an hour and answered many questions...Left brochures for all the principals. Showed hasti-notes, sold 3 packages as samples ($10.50) (and later delivered 3 doz. To Mr. Robson). Left membership cards and other material...Ina few days B.H. phoned to say the Principal's Association accepted their suggestion to involve the 8000 students in some way. He suggested I should go as a delegation to the School Board as a good public relations gesture which I did on Nov. 24, 1981. It was reported in the Herald...I had a good hearing and answered many questions. All that effort led to a donation of $8000.00 ($1.00 per student).
