There was a study period from 7:30 to 9 p.m. which we spent in study halls. Afterwards, we went up to bed. We had a large dorm with beds separated by curtains. So it wasn't possible for anyone to stay up late. I think it was lights out at 9:30. There wasn't much room in the dorm. We had small basins of water for washing, and we took a shower twice a week, depending on our schedule.
