In elementary school we began every morning with prayers. In sixth grade, we had an overzealous teacher who made us say the rosary every day. Since starting secondary school, we say prayers much less often. We attend Mass at Christmas, the beginning of the year, the end of the year and Easter. In short, we observe the major religious feast days. And after the tragic events of 9/11, we had the possibility of taking part in noontime get-togethers for peace. Some girls sang and others played the guitar. Each person did what she could for peace.
