On the School Benches

TRANSCRIPT

I attended CMI at the time the first male teachers began to arrive. This was quite an event, a veritable revolution in the life of the school. We can't say exactly why, but the dynamic and attitudes in the school started to change. One of the teachers insisted that a glass of water be put on his desk before each class. Everyone took turns, depending on the month, bringing him his glass of water. But after a while, we got fed up. So we rebelled by putting things like a red fish, vinegar or 7-UP in the glass. We played these tricks for a while. The teacher didn't dare touch his glass.
