On the School Benches

TRANSCRIPT

The teachers and the members of the administration were one big family. The administration's standards for the teachers were very high, but we felt like a family nevertheless. The teachers made themselves available to their students and took their education and well-being to heart. We were one big family, and everyone helped each other out. The ties we formed were so strong they endure to this day. These former staff members come regularly to meet with us. The present administration makes a point of inviting them to participate in a school event at least once or twice a year. They left CMI when it came time to retire, but their hearts are still with us, and they remain interested in, and pay close attention to, school events. Because of the family spirit and sense of belonging we see in each and every one, I feel they have all played an essential role in building and promoting the educational tradition of the Ursuline Sisters.
