'We had a neighbourhood shower, a kitchen shower, Which ah..if you have ever been to a kitchen shower way back in the 40s, it was everything from dishes, to food, to potatoes, to carrots, to onions, whatever the family [needed]. And we were a wonderful neighbourhood.'
