E. J. Casey: From Soldier to Showman

TRANSCRIPT

"Then came the 'B' circuit in 1943 and 1944 and business boomed high, we were asked to travel by railroad as the war effort required we save gasoline. So during the months of the fair we had our own special train, baggage cars, coaches and engine complete, the E.J. Casey Shows had reached the pinnacle. They were 'Tops'. We enjoyed two terrific seasons then in 1945 we reverted back to the three show units and returned to the 'C' class fairs and Sports Days, business was just as good as on the 'B' Fairs."
