"After getting settled down from the excitement I found that I got lonely again, all my friends (that had not already gone overseas) were in uniform. I met Major Fortin on Main Street, he was the N.O. with the Grenadiers, and he wanted me to join with him for overseas immediately with the 11th Field Ambulance. So I made an application once again for permission to go overseas. Mother was willing. I enlisted the day after arrival home from the service in Russia and moved in the M.A.C. Barracks."
