"Ones imagination will require little exercise to visualize Manitoban's new show spot and fun place. Rendezvous Park was laid out with great care. Paying particular attention to the comforts of children and their mothers, complete sanitary washrooms and toilets with modern facilities will be within easy reach inside the park. Hot and cold running water will be available in quantity. Barbeque grates to cook their freshly caught fish or meat that holidayers wish to bring for comfortable eating convenience.

There will be 20 picnic tables with large colourful umbrellas bordering the edge of the historical and beautiful east bank of the Red River. The Lower Fort Garry is located just a couple of miles down the river, on the west side. There one can catch a glimpse of the location where the earlier settlers landed, in their romantic struggle for re-establishment in this new land of freedom.

Older people will find Rendezvous Park an ideal spot for relaxation and rest, watching the men and boys fishing in the onrushing current below 'The Locks.' One could also read and watch the children at play or listen to the cheerful strains of carnival music. Of course the main attraction at Rendezvous Park is Kiddie Land where children can enjoy themselves to the full in jeep rides, merry-go-round, boat rides, train rides, kiddie cars, aeroplanes and five ponies.

The older children and grownups will have the Crazy House, the Fun House (with its magic mirrors and Slide for Life) the giant Eli Ferris wheel, the Caterpillars, Loop-O- Plane, Flying Saucers and a real thriller called the Boomerang. A fun spot without a boardwalk would not be complete, so there will be about twelve concession games with the usual candy floss, popcorn, hot dogs, soft drinks, hamburgers, etc. Games will consist of bingo, ball toss, darts, hoop la, glass pitch, penny arcade and others. All games of skill are sure to provide (as the old showman says - a little fun pastime and amusement). A free wading pool and sand boxes for the children will be provided."
