The C.P.R. section crew in front of the station with their handcar ca 1920.
A handcar travelled on the railway tracks and it was powered by a hand pump to transport workers and tools to worksites when maintaining the tracks. Each side of the hand pump had room for two men. Two men pushed down on one side while two men on the other side pulled up on the handles. The men on the two sides faced each other.

Millet's first two-room school, pictured here in 1913, was located across the tracks. The principal was Mr. O.J. Brook, and the primary teacher was Miss Clendening.

The beginning of the fire that destroyed John West's Millet Mercantile Store May 30, 1921.
The store was located on the south side of Alberta Street (50th Avenue) and west across the alley from the store built by Van Meter on the southwest corner of 50th Avenue and 50th Street.
