Veteran pilot Les Cook with the Northern Airways Waco. Les Cook flew for both Northern Airways and the BYN Company, before taking a job flying as a civilian for the U.S. Army. On December 4, 1942 he was killed in the crash of a US Army Norseman, on Second Avenue Whitehorse.

Three Northern Airways MK V Ansons at Carcross. These war surplus trainers were built almost entirely of plywood. Easily acquired after the war they were popular fledgling airlines. With N.A.L., CF-FGM was a freighter, and CF-EHV was a passenger liner. The Anson in the background was strictly for spare parts.
