St. Peter's Anglican Church, built in 1845, played a very important part in the lives of the Stirling family. Georgina was baptized, was confirmed, worshiped and was buried from there. It was at St. Peter's that she first sang in public and she was not yet 15 when she began to play the pipe organ there. She also played and sang at other churches when asked, quite often for fund raisers.
