George Brown was born in North Eastern England and emigrated to the Mines of Noranda P.Q. in 1953. In 1956 he moved to Deep River Ontario, working in the CRNL , NRU Reactor at Chalk River.

In 1984, while holidaying in Florida George attended some local woodcarving lessons and thus began a passion which has endured for the past 23 years. Carving solely for his own enjoyment he has given many carvings to friends and family
